Wolf 2013 Alaska trip: Our captain was able to bring us to within a quarter-mile of the Columbia glacier face standing 300 ft. high, and stretching more than a mile from end to end.  The glacier, one of the fastest moving glaciers in the world, slides about 80 feet per day and is the largest glacial contributor to sea level in North America.
